Discerning Hearts:

Discernment as a way of life
Discernment is a prayerful way of gathering information and making decisions that come from a place of knowing with the heart and the head and not just from ones intellect.  This presentation shows how one can learn the basic steps of discernment  and apply them so that discernment is used not only for big decisions but become a way of life.

Mary, our Blessed Mother is most written about human in history and presentations about her are numerous.  In my own personal devotion and study of Mary I have found not only a model but a friend.  In three different presentations I focus on different aspects of our relationship and fascination with her.

Something About Mary:

A first century Woman and a 21st Century Model
The woman we know as the Theotokos , the God Bearer, coming to understand who this woman was in her historical setting and how she continues to be a model for discipleship in the 21st century.

Mary of Nazareth:

From Galilean Peasant to Heavenly Queen
This presentation is a historical look at the development of Mariology from what the councils say and in the work of artists. How did this first century peasant woman become the Queen of Heaven and first among the disciples?

Mary Our Mother:

How we In-culturate Mary, Mother of God
Almost every Christian culture has an image of Mary in their native dress and image. What does this say about in-culturation and our need to make ‘Her” our own.
